about

"Although the two pieces were performed live at Green Lodge in Matra Point, Maine, de Chardin is truly trying to transcend these earthly shackles by reaching toward the spiritual and the infinite. And it’s true, as Flower Room suggests, that “Concert for Malakut” is a “complete out-of-body listening experience,” a transcended batch of tones that shift us ever closer to the divine." - Ryan Masteller, Tabs Out
.........................................

"Concert for Malakut"--the inaugural musical expression from French-Canadian mystic and scholar Arman de Chardin--materializes out of the highest striations of Thick Air. Conceived and performed as a live concert for the Astral plane, de Chardin meditated before the deep tone bank of a consumer-grade 1980s synthesizer and sampler and allowed an hour's worth of inspired spontaneous composition to unfold into the ether. Motifs arise and blend into beds of textured drone, with rhythm and melody channeling both ancient and future into a more complex Now. Grounded, yet reaching far higher than the sky, "Concert for Malakut" is a complete out-of-body listening experience for 4th World dwellers and enthusiasts alike.
