Expanding the vision of rootless' docile cobras LP, four artists remix select tracks and offer a shift in perspective regarding the album's deep sonic possibilities. From Akkad the Orphic Priest's perpetually regenerating side-long drone-and-tone fantasia ("gorillas in the zoo" remix), to top sonic visionary Sarah Louise's artful reimagining of the title track's 10+ minute source into a shimmering 3-minute electronics-and-strings wonderland; from Brian Griffith's tactile grafting of new tones to "lost at sea"'s greenest stems, fostering fresh growth, to Starbirthed's sky-high vocal and loop-based ambient ecology ("curious destination"), the collection acts as a kaleidoscope view into rootless' singular set and setting. For a parent album that evokes such technicolor cinematic vistas as docile cobras does, these remixes have the effect of eliminating the screen, film, and projector, delivering the listener to the middle of a teeming environment rich with earthy scent, thick air, and unseen lifeforms.

The docile cobras remixes are available as a bonus cassette included with the art edition vinyl, as bonus tracks on the docile cobras CD-R, and as a standalone digital album.
